Master Captain Alan Tappan, principal guide, is the founder of Alaska Legacy Fish Camp. A life long fisherman, our business is the realization of his boyhood dream.
From carefully selecting the perfect property, to designing and building the guest cabins with his own hands, Alaska Legacy was created with Alan's
enthusiasm, dedication and passion for fishing on the Kenai Peninsula. A local guide since 1991, Alan is one of the most experienced professionals on the peninsula.
He is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and is permitted by Alaska State Parks, The U.S. Forest Service and The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
Treece Wright Tappan is a San Francisco native and NYU Film School grad. She spent many happy summers as a kid visiting
her father, a "steelhead junkie", on the Kispiox and Bulkley rivers in British Columbia. Treece does not fish, but she never tires of hearing your stories.
The opportunity to join Alan in Alaska in 2001 was a life altering decision that has been great fun for her.
Ruby Tappan, 5, is a beautiful human being who we are so happy to have as our child. She has enjoyed meeting guests from
every continent except Antartica. Calling all polar explorers!
